FIRE DANGER ALERT LEVEL GUIDE

Green Light Warning
Fires starts are minimal. Weather and fuel conditions will lead to slower fire spread, lower intensity and relatively easy control. Controlled burns can usually be executed with reasonable safety precautions.

Yellow Light Warning
Some wildfires may be expected. Lack of rain will help spread grass fires more easily. Fires in open cured grasslands will burn briskly and spread rapidly on windy days. Expect moderate flame length and rate of spread. Control is usually not difficult. Controlled burns can usually be executed with reasonable safety.

Red Light Warning
