To the
Residents of the West Chazy Fire District:

The holiday season and winter months are upon us and I would
like to ask all residents to service there heating sources on
a regular basis. Not only is there a risk of fire with a
malfunctioning heat source, there is also the risk of Carbon
Monoxide poisoning. I ask all residences to not only have
smoke detectors, but a Carbon Monoxide detector. Carbon
Monoxide has no smell and the symptoms of poisoning are often
mistaken for the FLU.

- The department call volume
is down for 2009, which is great. I guess our Fire Prevention
and joining forces with CVPH for EMS coverage is having a
positive affect.

- On December 12th,
2009 the West Chazy Fire Dept is having our Annual Christmas
Toy Drive for the Clinton County Christmas Bureau. Anyone
interested in joining the fire department may stop by any
Monday night to obtain an application.

- I would like to wish all
residents of the West Chazy Fire District as well as the West
Chazy Fire Dept members, Auxiliary, Fire Commissioners and
their families a Happy and Safe Holiday Season.
