West Chazy, NY
- West Chazy volunteers responded to a
reported 1 car roll over at the corner
of Slosson Road and Fisk Road
intersections Sunday morning. Engine
331 responded to the scene to find the
vehicle upside down in a pasture and
the driver out walking around. The
driver did not have any complaints
upon ems evaluation and was signed off
at the scene. Racine's towing was
called in and volunteers were back in
service.

West Chazy - The West
Chazy Fire Department responded
to a structure fire at D&D Meats
in Sciota Friday morning. Tanker
336 and 331 arrived on scene
just minutes before Chazy units
arrived at apporx 1:40am Friday.
On Arrival flames were shooting
out of the rear of the structure
which is attached to the house
and a few apartments. There were
no injuries at the scene and all
the occupants got out safely
including 2 house cats. The rear
of the structure and apartment
buildings are a total loss while
the front part of the store had
major smoke and water damage.
Many northern-tier fire
departments were called in
including St Paul Québec.
Volunteers were back in service
around 8am.

Beekmantown NY - West Chazy
Firefighters were toned out for mutual aid to
a motel fire at
the
Stonehelm Motel in Beekmantown
Monday. Firefighters
from
Beekmantown, Altona, Cadyville,
Champlain, Chazy, Cumberland Head,
Dannemora, District 3, Keeseville,
Morrisonville, Peru, Mooers, South
Plattsburgh and West Chazy fire
departments responded to the 1:15 am
blaze. The cause of the fire, which
started in one of the rooms is still
being investigated. The Whole east
wing and some of the office space were
destroyed. Volunteers were back in
around Noon

ITS A BOY!!! - West Chazy
Fire Dept would like to congratulate
firefighter Rick Morrison and his wife
Kelly Morrison on the new addition to
their family. Richard Joseph Morrison
was born 1:38am, August 24th @ 8lbs
2oz. We are so Happy for you both!!
